How does Liscio know what to name a file?
Liscio reads the contents of each uploaded file and extracts key fields — document type, issuer name, date, and account details. It then applies your firm's naming convention to generate a suggested name. Your team reviews and accepts the suggestion before anything is saved.
What types of documents does File Intelligence recognize?
File Intelligence is built specifically for accounting documents — bank statements, tax returns, W-2s, 1099s, invoices, payroll summaries, engagement letters, and more. It is not a generic file renaming tool.
Can my firm set its own naming convention?
Yes. You set the pattern once — choosing variables like Year, Month, Document Type, Issuer Name, and Account ID. Liscio applies that pattern to every incoming file, firm-wide, for every team member.
Does Liscio rename files automatically or does someone review them?
